Nada: "What are those animals?"

Muda: "They are jellyfish."

Nada: "Where do they usually live?"

Muda: "Most of them live in salt water, apart from a few types that live in fresh water. But, we can also find them in oceans and seas all over the world."

Nada: "What kind of water do those animals live?"

Muda: "They live in warm, tropical seas and in icy waters near the North and South poles."

Nada: "Do they belong to fish?"

Muda: "No, they don't. They are not really fish."

Nada: "Look at the body! It looks like very smooth. So, it is invertebrate animal, isn't it?"

Muda: "Yes, you're right. They have no backbones. In fact, they have no bones at all."

Nada : "What about the structure of the body?"

Muda: "Jellyfish have stomachs and mouths, but no heads. They have nervous system for sensing the world around them, but no brains. They are made almost entirely of water, which is why you can look through them."

Nada: "I often see some of jellyfish glow in darkness. How can it be?"

Muda: "It is because its own light. The light is made by a chemical reaction inside the jellyfish. Scientists believe jellyfish glow for several reasons. For example, they may glow to scare away predators or to attract animals they like to eat."
