DO YOU BELONG TO SOCIAL OR SCIENCE CLASS ?

“Are you student of science class ?’.

Believe or not, we always hear somebody give that question to you as student or somebody else. The question is why they always do that ?. Of course, honestly, the answer is they wanted to know how clever the students are, how intelligent the pupil are. They have opinion if the students belong to science class, automatically, those students are mostly brilliant. And what about the social class’ students ?. are they stupid ?.

I do not want to blame this situation to each other, I mean teachers, parents, society or students themselves. In my understanding, we cannot judge the students based on the sort of the class they belong to. We should not judge them that students in science class are considered cleverer than they are in social class, and even it will be getting worse that belong to social class, the students are mostly stupid and someday it will be difficult for them to get job or when they want to continue studying at university after graduating from Senior High school. We should be wiser to see these phenomena. So, through this article, let’s find a discussion and try to find the solution.

Firstly, we should know the characteristic of science class’ students who are good at Biology, Mathematics, Physics as well as Chemistry. They are able to work alone and have good spirit in competitive situation to be the best among themselves. Moreover, they tend to be silent students and taking or discussing based on using data or evidences they have. While the characteristics of social class’ students, they are good at the subjects of Economy, Accounting, Language, Sociology, and History. They prefer doing something in groups to individuals (Collaboration). Most of them are talkative students in class and try to spend their leisure time both in wasting things and usefull things. They tend to be fun and relax by playing while studying like playing game, chitchatting or doing nothing.

Based on the characteristics I mentioned above, let’s check to ourselves. What kind of characteristics we or you have before making decision to go into science or social class. It is very important to know because some of the students pretend to be clever by entering the science class without considering the result they will have after that though their capabilities are low on all subjects at science class. If the students are not able to catch the lesson, I do believe, they will feel frustrated easily.

On the other hand, the students who belong to social class will feel that the world is over. Some students even think that the end of the world has already come for their future if they are classified into social class. So, what should they study for ?. They think that their future is already determined as losers. They believe that it will not make difference to be clever students or dull students in this social class. If students belong to this class, it will be difficult for them to get jobs.

The conclusion, as teachers, or human being, please say to your students that their future cannot be determined or judged that they will succeed if they choose science class, and they will fail if they choose social class. Students, however, should be asked to recognize their own potentials, interests, capabilities, spirits and deep talents if they want to be successful person in the future. Who will give guarantee that their future will be better if they take science class ?. It completely depends on their own hands. Remember, the success of someone relies on the hard work, diligence, spirit, desire as well as skills and luck.

Students, please, prepare your own future. Don’t waste your time because your future is in your own hand. Don’t try to be the best but try to do your best. God speed All of you, Students..!
