Hello, guys!

Let me tell you about a story of a student's experience from Global Youth Summit, Singapore 2022. His name is Yahya. A smart snd cool student from Islamic International School of Magetan, East Java.

It all began when I got a call into the management room of the school. I wondered, did I do wrong or was I entering my popular phase? Neither turns out it was, I was invited by my school to join an event in Singapura. I had never expected to go abroad this soon, plus I had to pay by my own finance to go there. Life really has its surprises, right?

Well, long and short story, I went there by airplane through the Juanda airport and arrived there, in Singapore. Honestly, to step my foot there, I felt like a dream which already came true.

Directly, We went to eat at a local restaurant on literally 2 AM. Well, I still had to prepare for the event for my first coming there. "Oh My God!, Can’t I have some rest first?" That was my first mumbling to myself.

The first 2 days were about the event. So I was presenting my prototype in front of other people who also presenting their own prototypes in turns. I believed all teams went through without any problems. They were amazing.

At the result, The judges announced that our team which created on "MAGIC" be the winner for 2nd place of this event.

Alright, the first 2 days finally passed, now it’s time for us to have the vacation at last. So on the last 3 days in Singapore, I and my team went to many places. Also came to Festivals, unique places, beach, but we didn’t get to go see the Merlion, though.

However, I was still glad that I was able to travel everywhere while in Singapore, and even bought some souvenirs for my friends and family.

I remembered that one time during the trip when I met real cosplayers for the first time. It was when we were leaving Sentosa Beach and when I was transferring between MRTs.

At that moment, I saw this beautiful one girl with weird hair and thought to myself “Oh my gosh!, Why she having that brownish pink hair?” and after that I realized that it was the Angel Devil from Chainsaw Man. So, I told my friend, Dullah and ran all the way along from our MRT to catch up to her and asked her to take a picture with me. Yes!!, Yess!!, We are Butterflies.

The other was when I was leaving Sentosa beach. When I was spacing out, Dullah nagged me and pointed to the end of the corridor where I saw this group of girls with weird colored hair again. As soon as I realized it, I immediately ran to them with Dullah and begged for a group picture again.

Literally everyone was surprised by this behavior of mine but in the end they let it slide.

Well that’s an interesting chapter of my life. Life sure has it’s own surprises and I don’t know when is it coming. This trip is a real proof. I personally think that this is a good way to close 2022. I don’t know for sure when am I returning there, but I really hope that I can go places like that again soon, with higher spirits and even brighter hopes.
