Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) – MTsN 6 Bantul officially sent off its students who will represent the madrasah in the 2026 National Science Olympiad (OSN) at the Bantul Regency level. The farewell ceremony was led by Headmaster Sugiyono on June 11, 2026, in the school courtyard before the participants departed for the competition venue at SMP Negeri 3 Pleret.

This year, the madrasah is represented by selected students in three competition categories: Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Mathematics. The participants were chosen through a rigorous selection process and received intensive coaching to prepare them for one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the country.

In his remarks, Sugiyono expressed his appreciation for the students’ dedication and perseverance throughout the training period. He encouraged them to compete with confidence, uphold honesty, and demonstrate the best of their abilities. He reminded the participants that they were ambassadors of the madrasah and urged them to perform proudly while maintaining a positive attitude regardless of the outcome.

Sugiyono further emphasized that participation in the Olympiad is not solely about winning awards. More importantly, it provides students with opportunities to develop their academic potential, strengthen their competitiveness, and cultivate resilience and determination. Supporting students’ talents and academic growth remains one of MTsN 6 Bantul’s key commitments in its efforts to enhance educational quality.

The send-off ceremony was filled with enthusiasm and encouragement. Teachers, mentors, and members of the madrasah community offered their prayers and best wishes for the participants’ success. With thorough preparation and strong support from the entire school community, MTsN 6 Bantul is optimistic that its representatives will perform well and proudly represent the madrasah at the district-level competition.
