History My Home Town
I made this story based on what I felt and was often stored in, "My desk", I really miss my hometown, if only I could go home every year, _ Just the memory of my birthland that has now turned into a City of Culture, where there are many famous people born in the city of Solo, including the Maestro Gesang, Wiji Tukul, an Indonesian literary scholar, who likes to break in with his beautiful writings only a handful opening in my story _
When the Prophet's Birthday, in the city of Solo and the city of Yogyakarta will always hold the name. "Gebregan Ceremony", or "Sekatenan", (Gunungan for Ngalap Blessings; traditional Javanese is still thick), where there will be the name of the Tibetan market or many people will know as the night market ... and there will be lots of traditional snacks, also some toys originating from pottery is no exception toys from rattan material, such as slimming, flute, pecutan specifically for lumping horses ... which is no less interesting is a rotary comedy like a roller coster in foreign style.
Market snacks that often appear are cenil, ice dawet "Pak Bolon" which is still fresh and always crowded with visitors, there is also tiwul, gempol pleret ... and shredded rambak ..., nearby there is the DR road.
Radjiman, Pasar Kliwon, where you will find various daily needs; which has been provided by the local government, in Klewer Market; where you will find a variety of original or stamped batik, the prices are relatively cheap according to the bag, especially foreign tourists often stop at the market, in order to find souvenirs or even visit the Keraton Surakarta; that's a glimpse of Solo, which is always adorned with the slogan "Solo Berseri", meaning Clean Healthy Neat Beautiful ... whether this slogan still exists or is already fragile ...
Now I'm going to talk about the Gede market, where the Dutch colonial era, Pasar Gede is a small market that was established in an area of 10,421 hectares, located at the crossroads of the governor's office which now changes its function to become the Surakarta City Hall. This building was designed by a Dutch architect named Ir. Thomas Karsten. The market building was completed in 1930 and named the Gedhé Hardjanagara Market.
This market is called the gedhé market or "Big Market" because it consists of a large roof.
Along with the times, this market has become the biggest and grandest market in Surakarta. The big market consists of two buildings that are separated by a road which is now called Jalan Sudirman.
Each of the two buildings consists of two floors. The gate in the main building looks like a roof of the throne which was later named Pasar Gedhé in Javanese. Solo City is a city that is famous for its cheap and delicious culinary. One of the best culinary places in Pasar Gede. The market built by PB to X is a legendary market.
Even though it was on fire, the original building remained strong. Pasar Gede is a reflection of the archipelago.
Pasar Gede Solo, located on Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, is an ancient market building that still stands majestically, this building was once hit by flash floods, but until now it still has a sturdy standing.
Harjonagoro Market or better known as the big market and the people of Solo are easier and easier to call it 'sar gedhe' a building that is centered with the Solo city hall,
among them there are monuments' pemandengan 'and bridges' which at the time of Chinese New Year celebrations became not only the residents of Solo but almost tourists from all over the country visited here, even if only for fun.
The big market is one of the markets in Solo, its history has made this market a priority to visit, a number of 'keleman' or snacks are available here, besides traditional, they also don't exist anywhere else,
To find dawet ayu, ‘'Yu Dermi’' is only the real thing, it's been there for a long time. In addition to building architecture a number of venues with phenomenal views are found here.
To enjoy something different and sensational traditional snacks, it is advisable for the morning, because before noon does not promise the desired 'snack'.
Market snacks in Pasar Gede that I still remember and I always buy are dawet ayu, gempol pleret, srabi juruh, Wes is really delicious. (original without preservatives), and the beauty of Solo is that the thugs in Solo are strictly forbidden by the local Surakarta city government. It is delicious to live in the city of Solo, there is liwet rice, also Timlo Sastro, culinary tourists inside and outside the city.
Pasar Gede if during Chinese New Year or better known as Gong Shie Fa Chay, lots of colorful lanterns with flushed red ornaments, and do not forget the decorations that are no less lively,
Barong Shai where there is a group of young people who are struggling in the world great attractions, in religious ceremonies and togetherness among religious people are still thick ....
