Al-Aqra ' ibn Jadis went to Amir al-mu'minin 'Umar ibn al-Khaththab.  As he turned, he saw 'Umar playing with his children, they were hanging from his shoulders and back.  So Al-Aqra 'said, "It is not appropriate for an Amir al-mu'minin to act like this. Is this what you do with your children?" Umar was taken aback and asked him, "And you, O Aqra, what are you doing in your house?"  He replied, "If I, when I enter my house, then the one who stands up sits down, and the one who speaks is silent, and the sleeper wakes up. And I have ten children I have never even once kissed them."  Then Umar replied, "Then you do not deserve to be a guardian for the Muslims."  Then 'Umar ordered him to be kind to his family and he removed his position as guardian.
