Prayers Of People Afflicted by Disasters (Tagur Hari ke-44)
It was said that there was an Anshar man, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who was nicknamed Abu Mughliq. He was a merchant who traded his property and the property of others. He traveled all over the country selling merchandise. Besides that, he was known as a person who was diligent in worship and wara'. One day, on his way, he was intercepted by a robber who held him at swordpoint. The robber snapped, "Put down your luggage, for I will kill you." Abu Mughliq said, "If you only want my blood, then why do you also want this property of mine?" The Robber replied, "This treasure will be mine and I want your blood too." Abu Mughliq said, "Since you insist on killing me then give me the opportunity to pray four rak'ahs." The robber said, "As you wish!" Then Abu Mughliq performed ablution and prayed four cycles of prayer. He prayed at the end of his prostration. "O Allah, the Beloved One, O the One who controls the great Throne, O Almighty One who does what he wills, I beg of You with Your incomparable greatness and unrivaled power and with Your light that fills the pillars of Your Throne, I beg You to protect me from these robbers. O The Almighty of Giving help, please, help me."
He read the prayer three times. Suddenly a knight on horseback appeared, brandishing a spear between the ears of his horse. When the robber saw him he confronted the horseman. However, the horseman managed to thrust his spear and kill the robber.
The horseman met the merchant. He said, "Who are you? By my father and mother, today indeed Allah has helped me through you." The horseman replied, "I am the fourth heavenly angel. When you say the first prayer, I hear the thunder of the heavens' doors. Then when you say the second prayer, I hear the hustle and bustle of the heavenly people. Then when you said a prayer for the third time, it was said to me, "The prayer of the one who is struck by disaster." So I asked Allah to hand over the robber to me (to kill)." Imam Al-Hasan said, "Whoever performs ablution and prays four rak'ahs, then says this prayer, his prayer will be answered whether in a state of disaster or not.
