Al Hajjaj turned to his advisors who were present at the assembly.  He asked them, "What do you think about this young man?"  They replied, "Just kill him, indeed he has dared to fight against your majesty and against the crowd." 

The young man said, "O Al Hajjaj, Pharaoh's advisors are better than yours because they advised Pharaoh about Musa and Harun "Give them a chance" while your advisors advised you to kill me. So, it is clear that Hujjah has dealt with you in the presence of Allah the King of the Kings and the Conqueror of the ignorants. " 

Al Hajjaj shouted loudly, "Watch your mouth and don't speak presumptuously! I'm afraid I will have an order to punish you. Really I will give you four thousand dirhams."  The young man replied, "I don't need the money. May Allah whiten your face and raise your heels." 

Al Hajjaj turned to his advisors and asked, "Do you know, what  this young man meant by his words" may Allah whiten your face and raise your heels? "They replied," Your Majesty knows better. "Al Hajjaj explained," What he means by "Allah may whiten your face" is blindness and leprosy, and what he means by may Allah raise the heel is the hanging and the overlay. "
