Once upon a time Ibrahim Ibn Adham saw a man who was in a deep sadness.  So he said to the man, "O my dear, I want to ask you three things, please answer them."

The man replied, "Very well." 

Ibrahim said, "Is there anything happen in this world that Allah does not want to happen?" 

The man replied, "Of course not." 

Ibrahim asked again, "Is your fortune that has been determined by Allah reduced?" 

The man replied, "Of course not." 

Ibrahim asked, "Will your death that has been determined by Allah in this world delay even for a moment?" 

The man replied, "Of course not." 

So Ibrahim said, "Then what makes you sad?"
