What's on earth! Well, I guess that words is perfectly described my feeling when I read a letter contained message I got from Michelle Rebecca, my student who already returned home from the event of English Camp II East Java Province 2024.

Perhaps, you also feel surprised when knowing her name. It sounds the name belongs to Western person. If so, I will not blame you because many people have the same opinion about her.

Not only smart and friendly, she is also beautiful and has a lot of competencies like her perfect English acquisition, public speaking, academic achievement and activity in school organization.

Hello Sir!

Three days in English Camp activity was an amazing journey. When the first time I arrived in Villa Asia Jaya Mojokerto, the English Camp placed, the wind felt so fresh and the view was so beautiful to see. Then I brought my bag to room number 5 as determined before, and there were 5 girls there including me to share the room.

Eventhough the room was small to fit and comfortable for us to stay in because our warming and friendly conversation happened among my new friends made it comfortable to socialize.

At 4 pm, every participant went to the hall to follow the leadership activity. We were divided by groups, and I volunteer to be the captain of group 5. In this activity, the committee told us to made various symbol and presented the meaning later on.

It was really challenging and fun until I realized it is getting dark, so our activity ended at around 9 pm without any exhausted feeling shown in their faces among the participants because of exciting learning.

The next day we started our schedule by exercising and playing fun games. Then, at afternoon we watched a movie “The Butterfly Circus”, the movie is about respect to other who have differences.

Lastly, here’s the best part that I will never forget, the art night performance is already coming.

The art night performance was performed by representative of each city or regency delegation. My regency, the Magetan regency, showed the story of Sarangan Lake and in my role was to be a singer who sang “Magetan Kumandang” for that night.

The last day was the awarding day. From the first day until the last day, I was trying to be active as I could and also I tried to behave well. Every time there’s a question I try to answer as long as I could.

Honestly, I was hoping to get one of the awards that day. When the committee shout my name, it was unbelieveable. I couldn’t be more grateful because I got the “Best Female Participant”.

Not only that, but my group also got the award “Best Group for Leadership Challenge”. I said ‘alhamdulillah’ with my brightest smile in my lips.
