Procedure:

In small groups, explain these idiomatic expressions.

1.He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

2.I feel like a fish out of water.

3.That's let the cat out of the bag.

4.I've got a frog in my throat.

5.She's got ants in her pants.

6.He's the black sheep of the family.

In small groups, make up endings for these proverbs.

1.The early bird (catches the worm).

2.Don't look a gift horse (in the mouth).

3.Don't count your chickens (before they're hatched)

4.When the cat's away (the mice will play).

5.Monkey sepele,(Monkey do)

6.Let sleeping dogs(lie)

I'm going to read the real endings, out of sequence. Write them down and decide which expressions they fit. Discuss what the proverbs mean.
